The Denim Trends You Need To Know!
Now the weather is getting cooler, it’s time to update our winter essentials – starting with our denim! Whether you’re looking to make a statement, or are just looking for an update on an old classic, let me take you through my favourite denim trends for Autumn/Winter 17!
THE CROPPED FLARE
After last year’s resurgence of the flare, hems got looser, with many fashion lovers opting for a more relaxed fit rather than pouring themselves into their skinnies. This season, the flare is still a huge trend, although now a little bit shorter. This trend is a fun throwback to culottes and can easily be dressed up or down. I love the Newton Flare from Alice McCALL, MOTO Split Hem Straight Leg Jeans from Topshop, and Run Free Fray Cullotes Jeans from Vale to nail the trend.
THE GIRLFRIEND
While boyfriend denim was a huge trend a few years back, the new trend in relaxed denim is the girlfriend cut. Slimmer, but still a comfortable fit, this is the perfect cut if you prefer your denim on the more casual side. The Line 8 Baggy Crop Jeans by Levis, Lola in high relaxed fit from Neuw Denim, and Crop Girlfriend Jean by Blank NYC are my picks for this trend!
THE EMBROIDERED
Since Gucci’s maximalist reinvention, embroidered or embellished styles of denim have been hitting the high street, and I can’t get enough of this trend!
