My Christmas Gift Guide for Women!
Can you believe it’s less than four weeks until Christmas?! Where has the year gone? I know that I’ll be getting my Christmas shopping done shortly, and wanted to share some of my tips to help take the stress out of buying for all of the women in your life!
MUM
I always like to suggest to buy your mum something she’ll love but never splurge for herself. My picks for the season is a gorgeous tote, like this one from from The Daily Edited (which you can personalise just for her!), as a little bit of luxury in the bedroom, this luxe silk eye mask from Slip, or for a gift that keeps going, a stunning vase (like this one from Kate Spade) paired with a flower subscription will keep her smiling long after the Christmas season is over!
SISTER
For your sister, I suggest to take advantage of Christmas gift boxes – these are great not only for the presentation, but they are great value to make sure you can get her something she’ll love without moving out of your price range! I love this chic travel hair styling kit from Balmain (plus, how cute is the pouch!), a luxe set of silk pyjamas from Bambi Northwood-Blyth’s cult sleepwear label, P.Jame, and my favourite, the Christmas set of much loved Viktor and Rolf fragrance, Flowerbomb – for bonus points, add in tickets to the Viktor & Rolf: Fashion Artists exhibition at NGV and turn it into a sister outing as well!
GRANDMA
Grandma’s are often quite hard to buy for, but I have three tried-and-true options that any grandma will love! A chic silk scarf like this one from Oroton always is a winner, and if your grandma is a bit of a green thumb, a chic gardening set like this one from Myer is sure to make her happy, but my ultimate favourite gift is a stunning photo album like this one from Royal Selangor filled to the brim with family memories to treasure!
GIRLS
Whether you’re shopping for your daughter, your little cousin or niece, there’s a few sure hits they’ll love available this Christmas! Any little girl loves Barbie, but there’s one thing that will make them love her more: If she looks like them! Myer is running Barbie By You through Christmas where you can personalise their doll by selecting the same hair colour, clothes, height – everything! For a more artistic present, this mini easel from David Jones not only is super cute, but is great for mums – just wipe it down when they’re done and it’s set for next time! Or, if they are obsessed with Elsa and Frozen (like most little girls are right now!) this Lego set is super fun, and a great way for mums and dads to spend time (without Let It Go getting stuck in your head!)
BEST FRIEND
If you love to include your BFF in your Christmas shopping like I do, I suggest something small but luxe. If she’s a fragrance girl, I can’t recommend Byredo’s Mojave Ghost more highly – such an easy fragrance that suits everybody! If she slants more to the fashion side of things, a gorgeous coffee table book like Maticevski: The Elegant Rebel, or Karl Lagerfeld: Fendi 50 Years (complete with a custom made wooden case modelled off Karl’s own watercolour case!)
WORK BESTIE
Kris Kringle is always fun, but if you have a really close work bestie, a little extra gift is always nice! A cute, fun book like Zoe Foster-Blake’s Amazinger Face, a delicious scent for home (or if you’re lucky, the office!) like one of Glasshouse Fragrance’s limited edition Christmas fragrances, or a luxe makeup case, like this one from Charlotte Tilbury.
Stay tuned for my list of best buys for the boys, and happy shopping!
